Heat oven to 325 degrees. Spread 1/2 the package of onion soup. Mix in bottom of roasting pan. Sprinkle rest of mix on top of roast. Pour mushrooms and wine over meat. Cover tight and bake in 325 degree oven for approximately 2 hours. Remove roast from pan. Add 2 cups cold water to pan. Mix 2 tablespoon cornstarch. In 1/2 cup of cold water. Add to gravy and bring to boil. Serve cut up meat and gravy over boiled noodles. less

Put venison in roasting pan. Sprinkle onion soup mix over venison. Pour mushroom soup and 1 1/2 cans of water over venison. Cover. Bake at 375 degrees for 2 hours. Add potatoes and carrots. Cook another hour. Serve over rice.

I've ruled out a red-dot-laser scope because I've read quite a few reviews about some being hard to see in bright daylight (when I'll do most of my recreational shooting). I've seen some interesting variations on the standard crosshair scope that intrigue me. One type uses hash-marks at the spaced intervals for BDC. Others use a mil-dot. I'm interested in your experiences with either or both of these markings compared to a basic (unmarked) crosshair scope. Feel free to toss in any tips I might find useful as I shop around. less
